Bachman And Turner To Appear In New Will Ferrell Movie »
Will Ferrell has enlisted the aid of Canadian rock royalty Bachman and Turner for a guest appearance in his new movie, Dog Fight. The rockers perform their signature hit "Takin' Care of Business" in the Jay Roach (Austin Powers) directed comedy. Bachman and Turner's manager, Gilles Paquin, said the experience was trying but rewarding: "It was really hard work, long days and about 200 people on set. But it's one of the biggest movies of the year."

Van Halen Previews 'Blood And Fire' »
Van Halen have provided a 90-second preview of their new song "Blood and Fire" in advance of their highly-anticipated new album A Different Kind of Truth, due out next month. The new song is based on an instrumental track called "Ripley," taken from The Wild Life movie released back in 1984. "Blood and Fire" is the third song to be previewed off of the band's upcoming long player. The disc's first single, "Tattoo," was based on the group's unreleased 1977 track.

Paul McCartney Says Stevie Wonder Is A 'Genius' »
Paul McCartney has offered high praise to Stevie Wonder following the pair's collaboration on Sir Paul's new track "Only Our Hearts." While speaking with NME.com, Macca said Stevie made quick work of the track: "Stevie came along to the studio in LA and he listened to the track for about ten minutes and he totally got it. He just went to the mic and within 20 minutes had nailed this dynamite solo. When you listen you just think, 'How do you come up with that?'"

Styx To Release The Grand Illusion & Pieces Of Eight Live DVD »
Styx will release The Grand Illusion & Pieces of Eight Live on DVD/2-CD set, which features the band playing both multi-platinum albums live in their entirety for the first time. The set was filmed November 9, 2010 at Memphis, Tennessee's legendary Orpheum Theatre. Currently, there is a preview of the 2-DVD set in the form of a performance of "Blue Collar Man" on YouTube. The Grand Illusion & Pieces of Eight Live is due next week.

Iggy Pop will be the Record Store Day 2012 ambassador. The punk rocker said of the honor: "As Record Store Day Ambassador for 2012 I feel like a representative from some exotic jungle full of life and death and sex and anger, called upon to wear a leopard skin and translate joy to the world of the dead." He added that record stores formed his musical career: "I got my name, my musical education and my personality all from working at a record store during my tender years."
