Charlie Watts Talks Stones Farewell Tour
The Rolling Stones are finally considering hanging it up. In a recent interview with Le Parisien, drummer Charlie Watts revealed that they've discussed the possibility of a farewell tour and that their age is finally catching up to them.
"We're discussing it at the moment," he said. "We said that if we do something, it will be next year or the year after. "We've reached an age where you can't look too far into the future."
As for when that tour may take place, Watts says that is in the hands of Keith Richards and Mick Jagger.
"We will resume playing whenever Mick and Keith get bored," he added. "At the moment, they're having a good time."
In other news, Richards has been making recent headlines for the release of his new memoir, Life. The book hits stores on October 26, with the legendary guitarist set to make an appearance to discuss the book at the New York Public Library on October 29.
